Don’t eat PuPu. It’s not worth it

The topic of PuPu edibility comes up alarmingly frequently on this blog. This is for two reasons. First, if you mod the Triple Triad card he gives you, you get the Hungry Cookpot, the only item that can teach Devour to a GF. He is intrinsically linked to food for some reason.

And second, the greatest tragedy of all: He has a unique effect if you Devour him.

Eating a PuPu at Level 30 or higher will give you a permanent stat boost of +1 Speed. That’s the equivalent of using a Spd Up, which is a fairly rare item. A few other high-level enemies also give unique permanent stat boosts. For instance, eating a T-Rexaur (the oldest creature in the universe) will give you permanent +1 Strength.

That’s all well and good. I’m not going to tell you to not eat dinosaurs. But consider what happens when you eat PuPu. +1 Speed really isn’t that great of a bonus if you can only do it once. You miss out on the PuPu card and the Hungry Cookpot.

More importantly, if you eat PuPu, you will never see the light of heaven. Your soul will be stained.
